Lime Mortar Repointing
After careful but thorough preparation lime mortar is applied to the gaps between the stone work or brick work. The lime mortar is then carefully shaped to a neat, flush finish emphasising the shape of each individual stone or brick.
Stone Restoration
Making repairs to stonework where erosion has taken place using lime repair mortar, this can mean the reforming of intricate mouldings or more simple repairs such as flat Ashler blocks or wall stones. Very heavy repairs will require reinforcing using copper pins and cages, It is important to leave the repairs as close as possible to the original profile and colour.
Crack Repairs
High tensile stainless steel twisted bars are inserted through the cracks and bedded in polymer mortar, this is best carried out before lime repointing to leave an “invisible” repair.
